Veja Du - Growth is Closer Than you Think
How to Look at Your Business With a New Set of Eyes
We've all heard the term deja vu.
Deja vu means we've got this feeling like we were there before or we've experienced this before or somebody said that in the setting before.
But I wanted to bring up another term. It's called veja du. You might not have heard that, and I almost guarantee you haven't heard about it yet.
The difference between veja du and deja vu is simply that you take a scenario that you're familiar with and that you know, but it's looking at it from a different angle, looking at it with some new set of eyes.
Why am I even preaching or coaching on this right now? The reality is oftentimes when we're going through our lives and business planning and trying to figure out what's next, how we're gonna drive our career forward, we look completely outside of what we've done to date, and we say I need a full new piece of business or I need to do a whole new lead source, and I gotta relearn a new craft.
But this idea of the veja du basically is hey, why don't we not task yourself with such a difficult thing to learning something all over again or for the first time? What if we looked at what's worked in our careers and just came at a different angle? Look at it with a new set of eyes.
Now it's not as daunting to start a new thing because you're just attacking something with some familiarity. Now it's just a slight tweak on it. What if I can make it ten percent better or fifteen percent better rather than starting from scratch and trying to hit it out of the park, which, as we know, oftentimes when you're doing something, you can fail, and you can fail, and you might not get the success that you want.
Veja du is simply, let's just make it easy on ourselves.
Let's find what's worked and is working, and let's just tweak it.
Let's just come from a different angle, and let's see what else we can create out of our current success and then let's go all in on that.
