The Top 8 Traits of Top Producing Agents

We cover off a lot of topics in this 37 minute podcast, the very first part of the show is probably the most important as we go deep on the top eight traits of high producing real estate agents.

Hey…welcome back. Alright, how many of these traits do you see in yourself, be tough and be honest:

  1. Implement (Or someone that will execute)

  2. Strategic

  3. Loyal

  4. Test and Track or Track and Measure

  5. Growth Mindset

  6. Committed & Persistent

  7. Risk Takers (Educated risk takers that is)

  8. Reciprocal (people that want to give back to those that have helped along the way)

Which one do you see as the most important, one trait out of the eight that builds the foundation for the rest. I asked Kathleen this question, it is a tough one, her answer was likely #1 was the most important and here’s why:

You can be strategic in your business, you may like to take risks, you may think you like to track and measure, you may think you would be great at giving back to your community…BUT…these are all things that you would need to implement.

You need to be an action taker.

Model Success

Be careful in who you choose to model. Be careful in your definition of success.

Finding the right mentor can be difficult, as Kathleen mentions, you should be looking at the top three characteristics of the person you want to model and you should be looking at your top three as well.

Do they align? Do you values match? Do you have the same work ethic?

If you find the right person then shadow them, take them out for coffee or a beer, don’t just ask to ‘pick their brain’. Be willing to give as good as you’re going to get.

Successful people will always have something new to learn, in fact, the successful people I know NEVER stop learning so don’t think for one second that you can’t be a student and a teacher at the same time.
